#transformationtuesday ••• this is a tough and vulnerable topic for some – but I want you to really get this. The top is when I was in my prime eating disorder days (anorexic with bulimic tendencies) •• I would eat under 500 calories a day - spend hours doing cardio, running, sometimes lifting. If I did eat, I purged. I’d binge. And then purge, I’d take over 100 laxatives a week if I didn’t. ✨✨✨ The bottom is when I started bodybuilding. I was eating 2000+ calories a day. I was mindful. I lifted weights, did some conditioning. I put in work. When I say bodybuilding saved my life – it saved my life. I did almost everything to be “skinny”, including drugs. It wasn’t fun, I was ruining my relationships and friendships. I remember sitting in my car asking my mom for help and telling her what I had been taking. I had a demon attached to me and I am so grateful I broke free. Eating disorders aren’t a joke. Substance abuse isn’t a joke. Restricting calories isn’t a joke.
