He is a native who grew up as an orphan in a big city and ended up as thief. In truth he is the sole surviver of a tribe that descended from the spirits of the forest and for this had abilities connected to these spirits, in his case wind. As the story goes he reconnects with his past bringing back some of the native elements to the design.” -- source link
