STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS So you know we love movies right? Star Trek Into Darkness kicks off the 2013 sci-fi summer blockbuster schedule, officially opening in theaters today. Fans say it’s a “must see!,” so even the critics have to line up for this one! It’s okay if you’re not a Trekie, J.J. Abrams is an incredible storyteller. He’s the director behind the movies Super 8, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, the TV show Lost, and he’s about to start working on Star Wars: Episode VII. Get your popcorn and your 3-D glasses ready because it’s all about the visuals with this one. The set design and the costumes are also amazing. Into Darkness lays the groundwork for young Captain Krik as he grows into his leadership of the Starship Enterprise. This flick is probably going to be the summer’s best feel-good sci-fi movie. Aside from the awesome visuals and costumes, J.J. Abrams allows each character to come to life throughout the film.
