Mali, in West Africa, is one of the least developed countries in the world. Most Christians in Mali live in the south of the country. They have greater religious freedom than believers in the north. They still, however, experience threats of violence and kidnapping due to their faith. In northern Mali, those who leave Islam for Christianity are isolated from their families and community. Here, normal church life isn’t possible without persecution.Still, many Christians continue to show the love of Christ, even to their persecutors. As Naomi, a believer from Mali, whose husband was killed for his faith, shares, “I am a Christian, I have to show love even to the worst of my enemies. Who knows, I may draw them to Christ despite their attitude towards me. Christians are people who love their enemies - their haters. That is how we can win them for the Kingdom.” -- source link
