FEBRUARY; The Old ForestSecond illustration for my year long Lord of the Rings personal anniversary challenge. The image of leaving the Shire is based off of a picture I took when traveling the Camino de Santiago, between the border of France and Spain. I did cast the Hobbits in my head. Please don’t judge me: Frodo Baggins (Benedict Cumberbatch), Samwise Gamgee (Heath Ledger, it’s who I imagined while I was reading the books in 2001), Merry Brandybuck (James McAvoy), and Pippin Took (Hugh Dancy). -- source link
