skullgarden:This shitty, soggy sketch and ink wash is here to remind you that most of those viral “progress” videos where people just bust out a painting in a single layer or do an ink drawing with no sketch are not how the VAST majority of people actually work and are mostly just scripted to be short and entertaining so you’ll share the video. Not that there’s anything really wrong with that, but I often have to explain to people that they’re the art equivalent of a cooking show and not reality. So don’t feel bad if you erase a lot or make rough sketches because social media will lie to you and make you feel inadequate. -- source link
