I usually don’t go out there getting all political or stir shit up on my art account but I wanted to express my full support of the current protests in the US. It hits close to home when I see what black people go through. I’m Chinese living in Germany and I think many who are pro protest have lived through some type of racism in their life. Too many white individuals don’t understand that racism is a thing and what is going on in the news lately isn’t something that just happened. As @willsmith said: “Racism is not getting worse, it’s getting filmed.” How many times have I tried looking for comfort and understanding after I’ve been racially attacked only to have some white people talk it down as if I was crazy. White supremacy is real - not only in America. I have to deal with this shit all the time. I’m not saying looting, destroying and attacking during the protests is right, all I’m saying is that’s what you get for continuing to oppress the minority with no repercussions. Seeing the system burn was just a matter of time.
