Algy was relaxing quietly on his magical island, recovering from his unfortunate fall from the swinging hammock, when an excited flock of tropical birds swept by overhead, shrieking and chattering about a fireworks display which was to be held in honour of a very special birthday - a birthday which Algy’s kind friend Bud @bwwhitney was celebrating today…Algy sat up, and - lo and behold - to his amazement a dazzling firework display immediately lit up the tropical evening sky. It was so bright that Algy felt sure his friend Bud would be able to see it too, even though he was thousands of miles away…Bud has been a special tumblr friend to Algy, lending him his own elegant hat, and providing him with his own special place far away, where Algy can perch by a pool frequented by magical fireflies, and in which beavers build their dams.
