Roman Calendar - June 29: Dies natalis for the temple of QuirinusAn ancient Sabine god (Varro) whose temple once stood on Quirinalis Hill. According to Ovid it was dedicated on June 29 and built by five times consul Lucius Papirius Cursor in 293 BCE. The temple was located somewhere between Piazza Barberini and Via Del Quirinale, but today it is totally “vanished”. A so called Hartwig fragments have survived the ravages of time though and one of them depicts the temple (pic above): A flamen Qurinalis and Augustan era version of the temple are depicted in the relief. -- source link
