Scène sur une petite rue II, Le Puy-en-Velay, France, 2005.Those with an interest in pilgrimage and the Chemin St. Jacques (Camino Santiago) will notice the yellow on the lamppost, a part of one of the yellow arrows pointing, in this case away from the cathedral, toward Santiago de Compostela on the via Podiensis. Le Puy’s cathedral with its Black Virgin was a major stopping point for medieval pilgrims on the route which also goes toward Rocamadour and Conques, two other important pilgrimage sites rather nearer to Le Puy. -- source link
