ironhoes:To anyone who is reading this does not know what is currently happening in Venezuela, let me give you a small insight:Venezuela is a country that has been in crisis for years now, however just recently this crisis has taken to another level of severity with the country being officially declared a dictatorship. This political and economic crisis is so severe that citizens are losing so much weight from lack of food that they are having to travel to other countries to buy basic necessities in order to live. For many of you reading this right now, this will be the first time that you have been exposed to this. The government has strictly subsidized food for it’s 30 million inhabitants, resulting in a dangerous shortage of food with many shelves at grocery stores empty. Medicine is extremely scarce and out of reach for those who need it the most, and hospitals are in hazardous conditions with unsterile supplies and doctors cannot keep up with the lack of financial help and resources. All of this happens while it’s government claims there is no health crisis. People are seriously dying as the government sits back and pretends to not notice. In regards to crime, Venezuela is the second country with the most homicides, leaving many people terrified to even leave their house. People are being shot in the streets, at schools and at universities for protesting against the government, which is heavily corrupt. We need to stop turning a blind eye to this. How can I help? I have set up this campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/hopeforjavi And a PayPal account: http://paypal.me/javivzla To buy the basic supplies that are lacking in the hospitals such as: needles, bandages, even diapers and food for the abandoned babies. But more than anything you can help by sharing this and educating yourself in the situation. We need all the help and exposure we can get. #SOSVenezuelaDonate if you can! -- source link
