This is my second ranger subclass, but this time I tried to make something more in line with the new style of ranger subclasses presented in Xanathar’s Guide to Everything. This subclass is designed around slaying dragons: while it was inspired by tales from folklore of heroic dragonslayers. its features are designed around overcoming the features that dragons possess in D&D. It’s therefore a mix of both fairy-tale fantasy and practical combat utility, giving you features that should be useful in most fights but ESPECIALLY useful in fights against dragons. With this subclass, I’m also trying out a new style of picture editing which I’ve seen a lot of other homebrewers using. I’m really impressed with it and how much it makes the image look like part of the page, so I think I’ll stick with it. If you like this subclass and want a high quality PDF version of it as well as of everything else I’ve made (or just want to support me), please consider pledging to my patreon.v2: The chosen damage type for Elemental Adaptation can now be changed on a short rest, Slaying Strike deals additional damage and is more effective against dragons, Dragonslayer Dodge now halves the damage of subsequent attacks instead of giving them disadvantage. -- source link
