alwayswritewithcoffee:talkoncornerswhitelightinblue:decktheswans:alifeofrandomness:nikki-rook:Castle’s Loft - the Pilot vs the rest of the series It’s almost like he had just moved in not too long before the pilot and hadn’t yet made the place home yet (which is odd, cause the show gave off the impression that he’d been living in that loft for years – if not the entirety of Alexis’ life).not to mention the fact that all the camera angles in the pilot made it look and feel like a completely different place to the rest of the seriesWell, they shot the Pilot in New York so that loft is probably a real location as compared to the studio they’re using from Nanny McDead thereon. ;) Or if it’s a studio, it was already there and they probably just used it. I don’t recall the commentary much on it. It’s the precinct commentary I remember most. x) @alwayswritewithcoffee Thoughts? :)Flowers For Your Grave commentary says that they borrowed the loft of a friend of either Bowman or Marlowe for the pilot and, once the show was picked up for a series order, they constructed a completely new loft in LA. Same with the precinct, the difference is that when they filled out the pilot script, they didn’t need more loft scenes whereas they did need precinct scenes. So that’s why there are two precincts and one loft in the same episode. -- source link
