I wanted to draw part of a dream I had recently. It involved a massive sky island where the people would fly out into the surrounding sky on boats. Each boat was anchored to a swarm of small dragons that were difficult to see (which I’ve interpreted as iridescence against a bright sky). I imagine the dragons were each anchored by a thread of magic (as physically tying them all up would be a hell of a chore).The people would fly out towards the rising sun and return at night, following the setting sun back towards the island. This universe had other species of dragons in it– much larger, more hostile ones that the people would avoid. There was focus on the dragons largely controlling this world. The skies were infested with these small dragons, while I believe the larger dragons controlled the grounds below, making the land inaccessible and dangerous. -- source link
