You didn’t know how to tell your mother this, but you always hated it when she took you to the pool on the weekends. The reason being that you couldn’t swim, and were to afraid to take the necessary steps to try to learn. You’ve never seen it empty like this. It was very surreal. You started wondering where your mom went. you were worried. But in fear of those kids chasing after you and finding you in the pool area with only one exit and no more place to run, you ran up into the lifeguard’s tower and sat with your knees held up to your chest. Your heart might have jumped out of your chest if your knees weren’t their to hold it in place when you heard a voice. But after a second you realized it wasn’t a kid’s voice. It was your mom’s voice. You got up excited and looked over the edge of the tower to see your mom.
