Submit to our 16th annual photo contest, open now!Photo of the Day: Leather ControllerPhotographer caption: The history of Partizanske, Slovakia, and its surroundings is closely attached to the shoemaking industry, which was brought here by the famous Tomas Bata. Today, very few people outside of the region know that even though most of the production ceased years ago, there are still some companies producing shoes. This photograph is part of a series in which I was documenting individuals who work in this industry and individual parts of the production process. The worker in this portrait works in a warehouse with leather.
