lensblr-network:The incredible bubbles…I skated to the far end of Lake Minnewanka yesterday and just like last year, was greeted by the most amazing display of trapped methane bubbles upon rounding the last corner. By far the best I’ve seen this year anywhere.The chinooks were wreaking havoc though and coming back was hard work. The methane rises up from below as organic matter decays and the freezing ice traps them. They can even be burst and set on fire. -- source link
