Paid a visit to my man @ronfinleyhq yesterday with a shovel I painted for his upcoming @theronfinleyproject show only to experience something magical & unexpected. Butterflies, hummingbirds, ladybugs, honey bees nesting in their hive, even those pesky possums … life! Sunflowers in bloom, delicate and savory celery leaves, spicy edible asturtium flowers, juicy blueberries, boysenberry patches growing wild on the sidewalk alongside almond and fig trees, stalky papyrus and sugar canes, and so much more, wealthy spirits all converging into one man’s dreamscape. Ron Finley aka The Gangsta Gardener fought the law and won to bring to life his own private plot of fertile happiness with knowledge of the good life to share, a sight for the weary urban dweller thirsting for nourishment - mind, body, soul. His vision I think is to help us all grow a lil more. Thanks for the aloe vera succulents, sprouting artichoke seeds, and baby banana tree homeboy!
