tough-lass:Killian taking responsibility for his actions.I loved the fact that the writers chose to add the “despite the forgiveness of others” part, because it really emphasizes the stage in which Killian is at during his on going redemption arc. I believe this phase is truly the final one to complete his process, and maybe the most important one. These are the stages as I see them:1) Realizing you are doing wrong2) Wanting to change3) Doing acts of goodness (and stop doing evil ones)4) Willing to face the consequences of your past doing 5) Achieving the forgiveness of others through your actions 6) Achieving the forgiveness of yourself through your actionsAs I said, I believe Hook is at stage 5. (Rumple was never at stage 1, Regina although getting through stage 5, had skipped stage 4.)So this is truly an important part of the process, and taking full responsibility for your actions long after everyone else has forgiven you is highly significant in order to get there. -- source link
