How did they make it?!?!I’ve gotten that question quite a bit, aside from being super uptight about the paint job, the hardest part is finding a really good base. My friend just so happened to have metal round things to use, it used to be filled with tons of holes though. I filled it all with a metal epoxy weld that I got off of amazon for about 10 bucks. The base itself, is either an old light fixture as my friend claims. Or I think it’s an old outdoor heating lamp heat shield. The shape matches, and I remember older models being full of holes, like a cheese grater. There are plenty of them online, though I can’t find the exact model I used for my shield.Sorry it’s a bit vague, but hope it helps a little. :] -- source link
