sydneyflapper:fripperiesandfobs:Yteb evening dress ca. 1926From the Philadelphia Museum of ArtOoooo! We don’t see that many extant examples of Yteb’s work! Elizabeth (“Betty”) Hoyningen-Huene had Russian-American parents and was born in St Petersburg - the family fled Russia during the Revolution. Her second husband was a British army officer, Lt. Col. Charles Norman Buzzard. She operated the house under the name “Mme Yteb” - a backwards spelling of the diminutive form of her name, Betty. Her brother George Hoyningen-Huene started his illustrous career photographing her designs. -- source link
