I almost wasn’t going to put together a summary of art for 2020, but I decided to anyway because despite everything that happened I managed to draw some pretty decent things!2020 in particular was really difficult for me; I went through a breakup that unfortunately dragged on for 8 months and involved lawyers, and during that time period the COVID-19 pandemic also forced me to go into 3 months of isolation. That 3 month period of strict isolation included forcing me to work from home, spending my birthday (physically) alone, stopping all floor hockey league games, and having to deal with legal documents and procedures that could have been dealt with before the pandemic started. I’m doing a lot better now mentally, but between all the shit that happened from the end of 2019 up to this point, art as a hobby for me took a huge step onto the backburner. I’m surprised I even had enough energy and motivation to even FINISH half of the pieces I drew in 2020 Either way, I’m glad people still enjoy my work; even if nowadays posts are few and far between because most of my energy is spent working (don’t get me wrong, I love my job), illustration will always be something I have a passion for!
