But with a video game (that has gender choice in the first place), you’re more trying to play a version of yourself, possibly? anyway, it’s really mean to make fun of people for being upset about being misgendered. and I can’t see it being hard to make the gender an open text box, or just…not have gendered characters. People have to deal with being misgendered enough outside something they do for fun, so I can see how they’d be really upset. Also not being able to have a character of their race, because that’s really important as well, though I can’t speak for that as much of course.
