He’s spent so long not telling her what he’d done and now the moment is here and he’s telling her the truth and it’s so important, and I think he’s still not entirely sure how she’s going to react to the fact that he gave up his beloved ship to find her, and the last thing he wants is for her to feel as though she owes him anything, so yes.
