anndees-amazons: “Midnight Cowboy” is one of my favorite pictures. Directed by John Schlesinger, it depicts the horrors of urban life and the loneliness therein. The main character is shown in flashbacks as he is pawned off on his grandmother by his own mother who would rather not be bothered with raising her own son. Among the flashbacks is the above image which lasts as long as an eye blink. I watched the movie again and again and when finally DVD and disc came out, I was finally able to capture this shot right from the movie and then artistically edit it.
