theglittertoyourglam:sciencebranchblues:The Alignments of the BowieverseI am just going to put my own veiws here (I debated if I should or not)Ziggy as good is a little flimsy if we are going off the tumblr Ziggy it works, maybe if you stick to the bare bones of the songs styled Ziggy it can work but if you read Bowie’s actual ideal of Ziggy his isn’t all that good. He rides the fear and desperation of people making them believe that he is some prophet from an alien world, he is a manipulative and opportunistic man who dies in the song Rock n’ roll suicide due to the aliens that he claimed to speak the word of.so I don’t really think Ziggy (in the ideal) is all that good at all.As for the Thin White Duke being evil I find that a bit of a stretch. the character invented by Bowie (a novel idea that never worked out I believe) he was a confused, coked out and insane man driven to that by his environment not his will. he did no evil only endugled in sin.I honestly don’t think he belongs anywhere. He is not evil nor good but he is not of neutral aliment either he is something separated by his own doing and mind. The rest of them make sense. -- source link
