a-gnosis: 03: Persephone from Mythos RedoneMythos Redone is a webcomic by @theatomicboom and Suzy Liss. The frame story is about a young artist who summons a demon. In exchange for her emotions, he gives her the freedom to make her art without worry. During the course of the story some tales from mythology are retold with quite a lot of twists, among them the myth of Hades, Persephone and Demeter. This version is quite unique since it doesn’t portray Zeus or Demeter in a negative light, which otherwise is quite common in modern retellings of this myth (it actually puts most of the blame on Hades and Persephone who just eloped and never bothered to talk to Demeter). Persephone also isn’t portrayed as too sweet and naive, which always is a plus in my book. She’s actually a bit of a selfish brat. I love it. -- source link
