ironoverwine:Some merstuck Aradia, Karkat, and Dave inspired by my dorky little fic Infinite Contrivance of the Deeps. Aradia and Karkat are abyssal mermaids, tough, mostly solitary deep sea dudes with biolum and spines. Dave is an epipelagic merman, who usually live in schools within a few miles of the surface. Spun the albino Dave headcanon into this, mostly because Dave having weak eyesight that’s bothered by the bright sunlight near the surface gives me a reason for him to want to hang out deeper down where it’s darker. It’s also a reason for me to have him keep his classic shades, lol (they fell off a human boat and he kept them).I worked really hard on this so I wanted to show it off very badly even though it still needs a lot of work. Soft WIP? Cause I might keep working on it? I really want to try and do a back ground and show off the biolum light diffusion even tho that’s something I’ve never drawn and I’ll probably be bad at it lol… -- source link
