The Shagamaw is an odd creature described by the lumberjacks of North America. The Shagamaw is said to be the size of a horse with the back legs of a moose and the front legs of a bear. The Shagamaw was said to walk 440 steps on its front legs leaving bear prints then walk 440 steps on its back legs leaving moose prints making it incredibly difficult to track. The Shagamaw was not dangerous however it was considered a trickster mostly due to the fact that its diet consisted of cloth mostly cotton and it ate the lumberjack’s clothes as they left them out to dry after washing them. -- source link
