thymoss:Darband Quarter, Tehran, Iran#ugh i know there’s a lot of grey area when it comes to ethnic muslim countries but they are just so much fucking fun#like i’ve never had such a great time as when i was in the UEA and qatar#they call for prayer and everyone’s like ‘lol fuck this gonna go talk to god’ and leave their stalls and shops open#lights on #and just go #and then it all goes quiet#and at ramadan if you go into a store during the opening of the fast and they find out you’re a tourist they make you stay for tea and dates#just because they want to be hospitable and it’s a blessing to open your fast w them#and it’s a blessing to take care of your guests#and it just sucks 2 me that all of that wholesome culture and communitarianism is lost in this whole ‘brown ppl are oppressive and cruel’ na(invictuses) -- source link
