An absolutely stunning shot of my Muzzled!Max cosplay by my good friend @benseagrenphotography with makeup by @jbarbeauty ...I’m actually extremely proud of how this muzzle turned out, especially since I’m a sucker for screen accuracy. This entire costume was a labor of love (IS a labor of love- still working on it!) The amount of screenshots I gathered and times I watched precisely the scenes with the muzzle in them were mind-numbing to the point of my eyes hurting lol. I made it out of just worbla and a few errant pieces of tiny pipe (to help secure the hinges), including all the bolt heads you see on the front of it, they’re all worbla. After drafting up a couple pattern attempts, I dove right in and made the main front piece, the trowel head. From there I built up the sides and hinges based on what I’d researched, as well as making sure to do many “test fits” of the straps while it was still malleable. After hours of that, I finally primed, sanded, and painted the damn thing, finishing it off with a good spray of some hairspray and a handful of dirt to get some of that authentic Wasteland feel. Most of the dirt on this costume is actually dirt.
