Is it the one for light occasions or dark occasions? Will it even fit - is it a relic, an inheritance? You pull the zipper down and peel it out. You hang it on your shoulders, feel the weight of it, the costume of it.And so, you’ve just returned home from a long time away.Wait a second, do you know how to fly fish? My father, Dante, taught me how to tie a Grey Ghost and a Mickey Finn. I watched him cast graphite rods for decades - the suspension, the snap. His sonar capabilities were acute, Dante could tilt the air diagonally. Casting is both backward and forward motion and a distillation of time, all at once.I’m in research mode right now.Seeking out narratives and inventories of process, of processes. What’s the problem set, the treatment, the physicalization, the dissolve? What is piloting you?Resources du jour.
