Brooklyn Museum is thrilled to be working with Art Market Productions as they launch an exciting new fair, art on paper, at downtown Manhattan’s Pier 36, March 5-8. Art Marketis known for its unique and award-winning art fairs around the country, and nowthis Brooklyn-based company is introducing a completely new type of fair hereon its home turf.We are beyondexcited about this Brooklyn-born partnership. All proceeds from theopening-night VIP party (Thursday, March 5 from 5:30-8 pm) will benefit theMuseum and its school programs, which serve approximately 40,000 childrenannually (many living below the poverty line) with stellar-quality, low-costaccess to arts education. This is a fabulous way to support the Museum and weencourage the entire community to join us—for an opportunity to previews worksby Museum creative partner and collaborator SWOON and many others before anyoneelse! We’ll be joined that night by other Brooklyn-based friends, with Live Footage providing the soundtrack and Morris Sandwich Company on food and drink.We’ll bespotlighting some of the outstanding presentations and artists featured at arton paper across our social media—stay tuned, and New Yorkers, plan to attend inperson! In addition to 60exhibiting galleries from all over the world, arton paper will include a number ofsite-specific, monumentalinstallations all while offering our community a new way to engage withworks by artists who look to paper as a major influence in their sculpture,drawing, painting and photography.Because we love our Members, all of them will receive complimentarypasses to the fair. Tickets to the fair including the VIP party are on sale here.
