At that time it still had a semicollapsed roof and stairs up the Tower which I dare not climb. Theplace stank of bird droppings. Since then it has been cleaned andrenovated for tourists.Rebuilt in 1802 with the Tower added in 1897 to celebrate QueenVictoria’s Jubilee. last used in the 1950′s.  -- source link
