Like, this is the obvious course of action. It’s not like he’s thinking HMM I WONDER HOW WE WOULD LOGISTICALLY WORK THIS no, he’s absolutely positively sure that Wash would be the manny. In short: I love that man.Jayne would originally be really grouchy about the kids screaming at night when they’re teething and would try to avoid them and not let anyone see he spoils them rotten. And Kaylee and Simon would have a little girl who doesn’t like engines or medicine but she has Jayne absolutely wrapped around her little fiinger after he catches her disassembling one of his pistols at age five. And he takes her under his wing and teaches her all about guns and calls her his Little V (short for Little Vera) and the nickname eventually spreads to the rest of the crew. -- source link
