Beech trees are magic. They become so beautiful in autumn. The only tree in the forest (other than evergreens) that keep their leaves all winter. They fade paler and paler, until by the end of winter, they are the softest rose gold color… they almost look silvery, gleaming in the sun. When Spring comes, new leaves will push away the old.
