bogglelovesyou:Maybe ‘going to a therapist’ is too hard for you right now. But you can put on your coat. And then you can get your keys. And then you can drive to an address. And then you can get out of your car, and go inside. And then, when you are sitting down across from a therapist, you can start finding words for how you feel. I know you can.This. LW, whoever you are, all you have to do is make one call. I know it’s hard (believe me, I have some nasty panic disorder crap going on all up in my brain) but don’t think about the other parts. Do one part at a time, and you will be fine. You really need help, and what you should know is that panic disorders (I am not saying this is what you have, I am not a doctor, etc., but you clearly have these issues to deal with, and it sounds like you have some other stuff going on too that would be helped by … uhh … help) actually respondreally really wellto treatment most of the time. Because you have this stuff going on, it’s harder to get the help you need to get better, but if you DO, you will see improvement, I promise you will. You can have a friend make the call for you, even, if you have to. You can take someone to the appointment with you. That is TOTALLY allowed. You can have someone else drive you so that you don’t have to. Don’t be afraid to ask other people to help a little bit! Most folks are glad to be able to do something for a friend having a hard time.“Just get help” is not easy. There is nothing “just” about it. It’s damn hard. But you CAN do it, and the sooner you do, the faster you will feel better. I know you want to feel better, so just give it a try. Put the number in the phone and push the dial button, that’s all you have to do right now. You can do that.Good luck! -- source link
