thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:thefloatingstone:listen…..As someone whose had to move twice in the span of a year not that long ago this is THE most realistic depiction of moving box labels. This is a good and accurate Papyrus.I like this background a lot. I like the foxgloves although they were probably a pain to draw. But I like the glass balls and the reflection of the house in them the most. This background reminds of the children’s picture books I had in the 80s which tended to have a little more going on in them art-wise. idk if it’s because in the 80s and 90s my country got the nice good quality British ones which employed real established surrealist artists or not.Anyway. This background reminds me to a certain degree of like…. a mix of Fran Bow’s art styleand the books like “Trouble with Trumpets”or this book on mazes I had as a child but I’ve struggled to find pictures for ever since.Or like “The Eleventh Hour” picture book to a small degree.Anyway I like this. That’s an incredibly horrific statement to make specifically from you and also incredibly really sad also have a nice day. This awkward conversation simulator is extremely accurate and I hate it end meFor some reason when I heard that Papyrus was talking to someone helping him unpack from the truck, my mind just DECIDED he was talking to Stretch and I accepted this thought without any sort of question (again. Sleep deprivation.) So I was rather thrown off when it was RusAlso this is very good. Also also bro where can I get your shirt tho?no1: same2: I understand that this is a demo and as such I am treating my opinion of it as more like looking at a proof of concept piece that a completed product in any way shape or form, however I feel the game could really benefit from more varied sprites rather than just simple expression changes. The simple expression change as a reaction works well for Sans and Ash here. But for Papyrus and even for Rus I feel mixing it up with more poses, even if it’s simple ones could really improve the personal interactions. If I compare it to something like Persona 4, Persona 4′s sprites also only have expression changes for the dialogue sprites with only clothes being a significant changeHowever, Persona 4 has moving low poly 3D models on the screen as dialogue takes place to give characters body language and to emphasise emotions or their energy levels in a conversation and don’t merely rely on the dialogue sprites to carry the mood.Even a game like Grandia (a big favourite of mine) which DOES have extremely dynamic and expressive dialogue sprites, will often emphasise the emotion within the scene by changing the very simple 16-bit overworld spritesI think a game like this would do well to look at how varied and dynamic poses in other visual novels and dating sims can be when there is only the sprites to rely on, at least for the more energetic characters. I’m hoping with enough time and hands on deck with the game more sprites with different actions can be implemented for the complete release.I got to Vocaloid Sans Blue and stopped for the night because I has essentially dead by this point and could finally go to bed after taking the next round of pills.I do like this Blue’s outfit design. I’m a little torn about drawing Blue skinny but what’re you gonna do, right?I want his jacket tho.He is also immediately the most 2nd hand embarrassment inducing character. Talking to Ash about dirt is less awkward than listening to Blue flirt. Although that is probably a 100% just me thing.Anyway I’ll play more tonight when I’m not working probably. SO that’s my semi-liveblog for today. -- source link
