HAPPY 90th BIRTHDAY: ‘Malden Mills Mensch’, Aaron FeuersteinBrookline resident Aaron Feuerstein cuts the cake at his 90th birthday party, held Sunday, Dec. 6, at Young Israel of Brookline. The celebration was also to honor the man who continued to pay his Malden Mills employees after his mill burned down 20 years ago.Twenty years ago this week, long-time Brookline resident Aaron Feuerstein was wrapping up an evening of celebration: His family had thrown him a surprise early 70th birthday party.But later that night, the festive mood turned dark as Feuerstein was called to Lawrence, where Malden Mills, the textile factory he owned, was burning down.Feuerstein decided to continue paying the salaries of more than 1,500 employees until he could finish rebuilding the factory. Two decades later, family and friends of the Brookline resident, including Congressman Joe Kennedy, former Congressman Barney Frank, and former Gov.
