takiisieju:This is Lynn, my Dragon Age II companion OC. He’s a rogue and an archer, so he’s basically Sebastian but with no religion talks and no romance option (though the second part is debatable, it just seems unlikely that anybody’d want to romance him).Lynn’s mother was a templar who got heavily addicted to lyrium and then went totally insane. She mistook him for a demon once and, well, you can imagine what happened. Because of all that, Lynn believes templars are dangerous and he’s freaking out when the crew encounters red lyrium. He also doesn’t like smugglers.Lynn has a huge crush on Anders (who doesn’t though), and he’s kinda the embodiment of my wish to protect and comfort the poor guy if Hawke does not do it properly. So yeah, those red-feathered arrows are for Anders haters.Other things about Lynn that are probably worth noting: - He’s very young, around 20 years old during Act I - He’s afraid of magic, because his mom was scaring him with it and because he doesn’t understand shit about it. He’s not scared of mages though (”They’re just people, right? If it can be killed with an arrow, why fear it?”) - He’s alright with Anders friendmance, but he greatly disapproves of rivalmance. Rivalmance is abusive and toxic, he will not tolerate it. - He’s actually from Anderfels because it feels like there aren’t many characters from there in canon, so he should have German accent instead. On the other hand, when did I ever listen to the voice of reason? - Contrary to Sebastian who values things like honour and religion (things that are not actually alive), Lynn values people and emotional side of things. He also rarely thinks of consequences and long-term effects of his actions so he tends to do very stupid things from time to time.I’m very insecure about my OCs in general and about Lynn in particular so please let me know what you think. If it’s not too much of a bother, of course. -- source link
