GREEN POWER - PART II - THE BOILER ROOMIn the first part of this series, you got to see the turbine hall with the magnificent Brown Boveri turbines. In this part I will show you the adjacent boiler room, where biomass was burned to generate steam, which powered the turbines. In the last image you can see an overview of the power plant. Unfortunately I only have a Dutch captioned image, but I’m pretty sure you’ll get a gist of the general workings of a thermal power plant… In the photos you’ll notice that the lights are still on in certain places. The electricity hadn’t yet been shut off, as the power plant was abandoned only six months prior to my visit there… -- source link
