Obviously the cities that enforced social distancing sooner saw a flattened curve. However, once restrictions were eased because they saw the results of social distancing working most cities saw a second peak of flu deaths. Right now we risk repeating the mistakes of the past. It’s not enough to flatten the curve, we have to maintain these social distancing measures for longer than we think. Easing restrictions now could cost thousands of lives.
