The Central African Republic (CAR) has been targeted by intensified violence the last couple of years and the UN has now warned of the risk of genocide in CAR.Violence against Christians is also very high. Although Islamist rebel group, Seleka, has been driven out of many parts of the country, attacks against Christians continue in north-eastern areas.Christians have been forced to flee from their villages and are denied access to farming fields. Large groups of Christians live in extremely poor conditions in refugee camps.Over half a million citizens have been displace by violence in the country and half of the population are in need of humanitarian aid to survive.Our God in heaven, today we lift up this country to You. We pray that You will protect our fellow Christians in CAR. Rid the country of violence and hatred, and may brotherly love once again be restored. Amen. -- source link
