cliffjumpers:denerim:dragonageconfessions:CONFESSION: I just had a heated argument about Alistair’s behavior during the Landsmeet, depending on the player’s choices, and about his motivations to be a king. I don’t really like where the franchise is going currently, with basing most of the story on ancient lore (I’m more of a politics, intrigues, present events fan, like in DA2), but I LOVE how people can still get emotional about Alistair and Loghain in 2017. This is so cool. No, it really isn’t. People get harassed for preferring Loghain and Anora (or any other character tbh) over Alistair. There’s nothing cool about this.So because some ppl are assholes about it no one is allowed to discuss/debate their opinions?? i still think it’s cool that ppl are still so passionate about what happened in origins regardless of their choices.Nowhere did I say people aren’t “allowed” to do anything though. I very much enjoy discussions and debate as long as people don’t cross the line, and in my experience that happens a lot in the DA fandom, especially in regards to the Landsmeet. It’ll soon be ten years since Origins was released, and a very vocal part of the fandom still can’t accept not everyone makes the choices they did. Being passionate about a subject doesn’t give you the right to be an asshole. -- source link
