well, here we are. December 16th.the day before Tumblr hits that self-destruct button and bans NSFW images (or “images of female presenting nipples” or whatever other bullshit terminology they used). Tumblr (or Verizon, depending on where you want to lay the blame) could have nipped (pun intended) all this shit in the bud by simply banning CP when everyone knew it was being filtered through their site and working to enforce that ban, but nope. They let it slide and slide until their app got banned from the apple store and instead of fixing that issue they decided all nudity must go. It doesn’t matter if that nudity is porn obviously. By now you’ve undoubtedly seen screenshots of Tumblr banning famous works of art or even just a pair of shoes that have been flagged as in violation of TOS because this site is moderated by the incompetent who rely entirely on algorithms that they can’t operate properly.So.What else is there to say? to ‘save’ their site, Tumblr’s owners and operators are banning the only thing people use this godforsaken site for in the first place. So by saving it, they’ve actually doomed it and I give it a few months before this site announces it’s shuttering down because everyone they’re trying to aim for as an audience doesn’t exist.
