Look up close at those signs. These things are big ol’ targets just standing by the side of the road with a preachy fucking attitude that normally has “SHOOT ME” written all over it when you’re a bored, cynical kid with nothing to do but drive around the back roads of gun country with your mates and a case of beer. Where I live, even in the suburbs, a lot of signs have bullet holes in them, and just about all the highway signs do.Notice that there are no bullet holes.
