hikarunohana: 2020/06/18 It’s not IshiHime Week yet, but I wanted to finish the character design/sheet for Uzora Ishida 石田雨昊. I really like the name, and to create it I followed what seems to be the “rule” of the Ishida family. 宗弦 Sōken -> 竜弦 Ryūken -> 雨竜 Uryū -> 雨昊 Uzora, therefore for Uryū’s child I used the kanji Ame 雨(rain) and since, hello? she’s also Orihime’s child, I added Sora 昊(sky) which is her beloved brother’s name. Now, rainy sky is also a very fit name for an IshiHime child, given Uryū and Hime’s connection to rain. However, technically she should be called Amazora 雨空, with a different kanji and reading, but as far as I know, Japanese people have much freedom over kanjis and readings when it comes to names, so I can only hope that Uzora is not too strange of a name. Anyway, she’s got Hime’s beauty, Uryu’s blue eyes and bad eyesight (I know, cliche), which is why she needs to use those goggles thingies when in Quincy attire. It took a while for her to accept glasses (which is why she doesn’t wear them as a child). She should have two older brothers, but I need to revisit them before… revealing them I guess :/ -- source link
