My 60 second Excision reviewThis is one of those movies that is Tumblr-popular. There are a ton of gorgeous scenes from this movie that are easily transfered into great gifs. But it may be misleading to some horror fans so I want to make sure you know what you’re getting into.“Excision” isn’t really a horror movie. It’s more of a really dark “coming of age” sex dramedy than anything else. It’s like a John Waters movie on acid. (In fact, he’s in it.) The main character is awkward, the transitions are jarring… it’s an art house indie flick.And it’s great! It is well acted, well-shot, and absolutely worth a watch. Just don’t go into it thinking you’re going to be getting “Saw” or “The Cell”. It’s way more “The Perks of Being a Homicidal Wallflower” than it is anything typically horror. Put on your hipster glasses and tight pants and give it a watch now. -- source link
