historyofromanovs:A portrait of Tsar Nicholas II by Baron Ernst Friedrick von Lipgart (1847-1932), c. 1914, currently located in the State Russian Museum. Lipgart was appointed to several Russian learned societies and he became the curator of the paintings at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, from 1906 until 1929. After the Russian Revolutions of 1917, Lipgart was evicted from his house in 1921 and his daughter was executed for harbouring a White Army officer. -- source link
