mireyahwolfe:mireyahwolfe:Hey, y’all, it’s me again. So, here’s the deal. I am a chronically ill queer Boricua. I’m living with my best friends and I’m not making shit for money right now, because I have to rely on a bus system that means I have an hour commute via 2 different buses to a place that is a 10 minute drive away from my apartment. I am working so hard right now to get my license. I’m 26 years old, and I’m finally getting that piece of paper that represents so many kinds of freedom that I’ve never known. But that paper means nothing if I don’t have a car to actually drive. I need a car to cut down my commute time, to be able to work longer hours, to work weekends. I need a car to go grocery shopping, to go to the doctor – right now, my best friend’s mother takes me to my appointments but I can’t keep relying on her, she’s got two kids to take care of, and a full-time job. I need a car to contribute more fully to my household – a household filled with other disabled queer folks. I need your help. If you can donate, even just $5, please do. I know it’s a lot of money, but if a lot of folks can donate a tiny bit, I can make this happen. I don’t have much to give, but I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for every cent. LINK HEREI’ve officially take and passed the DATA test, which means I’m one step closer to taking the main test. I was also recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and possibly sleep apnea, I need new glasses, preferably before I try to take the test. Any help, even just $5, is so deeply appreciated because the sooner I get a car, the better off I will be. -- source link
